Falling, falling down, pieces come at hand
Fit the lines or not
They're always falling, and it's frustrating
As they pick up the pace
Gotta stack away, I'll lose at this rate
Make them fit somehow
I-I flip them, they're spinning free
Must pick a line off somehow
Must get a line down somehow

I can't beat it! I can't beat it!
I'm in bad need of a line of four
I can't beat it! I can't beat it!
I can't beat this game, I'll restart!

I-I flip them, blocks' spinning free
As I'm turning them now
I-I fit it, one's fitting see!
Next one's doesn't somehow

I cry, I'm out of fettle, my focus's broken
Yet I'll start up anew
I scream, I squeal, and maybe wrawl
Can't quit this now
I'm in the play, for many days
Landlord's calling me now
Stuck in my chair, my bae don't care
Cos she ran away anyhow
Wish she'd left me some chow!

I must beat it! I must beat it!
I will beat it, maybe in this round
I should beat it! I should beat it!
I should find my pants, and restart

I-I flip them, they're spinning free
As I'm turning them now
I-I flip them, they're spinning free
Next one's doesn't somehow

Tetris is a bummer, my thumbs get number
I lose a night of sleep again
Ain't getting paid, when I play this game
My parents think I work from home
The weeks go flying, I keep on playing
I must look a troll
Why aren't this block, the kind that will lock
The lines just make me bummed
The lines just make me glum

Can't beat it!
Never clear it out!
Can't beat it!
Never clear it out!
Can't beat it!
Never clear it out!
Can't beat it!
Never clear it out!
Can't beat it!
Never clear it out!
Can't beat it!
Never clear it out!

As one of the few people who write songs about video games on this site I appreciate this classic gem. Tetris was a lot of fun. I still play it today. It’s such a simple game though that it’s funny and sad that this guy got so obsessed with it to let his life fall apart around him

Try a Rubik's cube instead!

One of the few video games I enjoy playing.

Haven't played Tetris in years but I always joke around Christmastime that fitting all those parcels into the mail van requires the exact same skillset. Anyway, nice job! Looks like a difficult song to parody; you did well though
