Seen retail workers a-plenty
Some too eager and some are lazy
Not all are them are bad and useless, most are rather nice
But I've not found this before, it's a cynic kid
Does their work but their face still says ev'rything
"God, customers are mad and stupid, wear a mask, alright?"
I see baggy eyes though they're too young to drink wine
And I detect a twitch when some angry guy

To put up with all these folks, I gotta say, that must blow
No wonder that "kill me now" mood you've got is on display
It's weird that I don't feel that way though customers are the same
