Robert LaFolette, Theodore Roosevelt, John Anderson, Ralph Nader, etc., etc., received enough signatures to get on the ballot. That is democracy. They influenced the political discourse with innovative platforms. The Reps and Dems, which are owned by corporate America, are legit? You're a sucker! And so is the writer of this parody.

The primary goal of both parties is the preservation of their perks and privileges. They don't give a damn about the country or the people, never have, never will. I'm sure they know how much we hold them in contempt, but we have lives to live and a nation to preserve.
