The Lyrics

This is more than a commercial, it's a patriotic song dedicated to the fundamental American freedom of mobility. The left is pushing the electric car as a way of limiting that mobility and forcing people into self-driving vehicles and public transit. It's not about saving fuel, it's about controlling the public. Watch this video, it's what America is all about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svtq7XpOHoM
New electric car
You have concerns about the battery
That worry deep inside you?
The fear is real, it's range anxiety
You've no way to know just when you can go
Until the light on the dashboard tells you so

You jump in and ride
Jump in and ride
Fingers are crossed
Stall if power's lost

The government knows where you're going
They tax you for each mile you roam
You've got a full charge of voltage
Drive on the sensor-strip road
It took ten hours to charge it
Stick to the highway
You might get where you want to go

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,

Car will self-drive
Google decides
Tech's been applied
You are trapped inside

It's got limited range and performance
And all of them look just the same
You see, the law won't allow it, don't venture off of the road
While charging up in your driveway
Unexplained causes
Your car just might burst into flames

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah

The expression of freedom, the open American road
I'm old enough to remember, you made the choices
And people thought driving was fun
We thought that driving was fun
The Fisker Karma was notorious for spontaneously bursting into flames. Teslas have been known to explode in minor collisions. So have certain brands of hover boards and cell phones using similar batteries. Last week while commenting on an auto related site, I noted that there are a lot of songs about Little GTO's, 409's, Hot Rod Lincolns, and the like, but nobody would ever write a song about electric cars. Then I decided that nobody was me.

Not so fast there, Slugger. I did one called "Little Chevy Volt" which featured the catchphrase that made Chevy Volt that all-time bestseller ...... C'mon and plug it in, charge it up, BACK IT OUT; Chevy Volt

Actually, I did one a few years ago about Cash for Clunkers, called "Wee Electric Van". I guess the mainstream hasn't caught up with us yet. Let's see if anyone else reads this one.

Do you still get the federal tax subsidy for buying one of these glorified golf carts?

Fisker Karma's gonna get you/While you are sleeping in your bed/Best not park it in the garage/Pretty soon you gonna be dead.....And your car burns on/'til the body and the frame are gone... Dagny Taggart (Taylor Schilling) drove a Fisker Karma in "Atlas Shrugged" Part I.

^^^^^Now then, Zeta, are these so-called "local moms" as hot as the engine block of a malfunctioning Fisker Karma or a Chevy Volt? Cause if not, your comment is a bit off-topic
