The Lyrics

Ah, the classic vision quest, the mystical dream where one finds one's destiny and the secrets of one's soul...who needs that bollocks? Not this guy...
What's this before me, some weird swirly thing, no way this can be real
There's a smokey figure telling me not to think, instead to feel
"There's a journey you must take to see as others have"
Look buddy, I've got work in the morning, don't have time for this cra-ap

So let me come to-o
No time for this, dude
I so don't wa-ant a vision que-uest
Just let me come to-o
Pop this dream bubble
Really don't ca-are to "face myse-elf"
So let me come to-o
I've got things to do
So I don't wa-ant a vision que-uest
Man, let me come to-o
No time for all this
Damn hippie trite, that I can't bear

Hey
So let me come to-o
Don't need this crap, dude, really, oh-oh
So let me come to-o
Not what I'm into, buddy
So let me come to-o
This might seem rude, but piss off, dude, oh-oh
Ooh

Talking crap about how my heart is more important than my mind
Not int'rested in true enlightenment or other 60's shi-ite, yeah
Keep your drug-trip to yourself, cause I have things to do-o-o-o

So let me come to-o
You creepy old dude
Cause I don't wa-ant a vision que-uest
Just let me come to-o
Know I'm not subtle
I just don't ca-are, so go to he-ell
So let me come to-o
Things I need to do
So I don't wa-ant a vision que-uest
Man, let me come to-o
My time you're wastin'
Get out my mind and out my hair
Oh-oh-oh-ay

So let me come to, buddy
I don't need this, du-ude
I'm fine, it's true, don't need this trip, buddy-y
So let me come to-o
To mine self I'm true, buddy
Man, let me come to-o
Get lost, weird dude, I need no "real truth" buddy-y

Fine with who I am, please
There's no truth that I seek
Don't want nirvana, please
Got other projects, jeez
Piss off, please
Mad old geez'
Shut up, jeez
Dumb hippie

So let me come to-o
Bug someone else, dude
Someone who'd wa-ant a vision que-uest
Just let me come to-o
Yet still you mumble
'Bout how I'm mo-ore than what I a-am
So let me come to-o
Don't need this, old fool
No way, don't wa-ant a vision que-uest
Man, let me come to-o
Quit with the "heart" drek
I don't need signs, I just don't care

Just let me come to-o
No more of this hoodoo, buddy, drop it, buddy, ay-ee
Please let me come to-o
End this damn dreamscape, stop this, mate, ooh-ooh-ah

That's a hell of a wieldy title, ain't it?

Love the title and I think you could have done a lot with this but you fell into your problem of repeating the same thing over and over again without actually adding to the idea at hand. This could have been a super trippy and fun parody topic but it didn't really go anywhere but in circles around the title itself.

I said it before, I will say it again, "Show Don't tell."

Not bad, not bad at all.

(Artistry) I agree with Matty and Aggy. This could've been something crazy and unique, but you kind of just left it at face value. We pretty much just have a guy in an empty space talking to an old man inside his mind (when laid out, it's a little clearer why this didn't quite work) I loved the title switch, but the content fell flat for me.

You could pretty much repeat Blayde's comment for my feelings on this spoof. Had a lot of potential with the title, but kinda fell flat. Maybe a re-write is in order to get this one in the right direction.
