The Lyrics

It must have been real hard
To set up that menagerie
Of rods and weird clothes, shame how
You all ended up doing your own cinematography

This pyramid is tall
Now we go in a tunnel
And now polka-dot display
He sucks at basketball
Now, stripes!
You see they're splitting hairs tonight
Why--did they decide to dress up like Jack White?
Now back away and hide
My head is now too high, so I must crouch low

Now it's Q-Bert pop art!
But this piece is mine, and this piece is mine
Look now they're taking the set all apart
This block's not on the wall
Who wants to play checkers?
This cube's not floating in space
It feels like we will fall
Oh, Hi! The paint is running fast tonight
Bike! It seems to be flying at a great height
A trick played on your eyes

Now "I think" rolls by
Roller coaster ride, now your mind is gonna be torn apart
New writing's on the wall, seems like a mime or is it paper maiche
Please camera don't fall!
Go high! Now look at my selfie tonight!
Yipe! Let's set this goddamned tripod right
Say hi to camera guys
Guys? Like Harpo Marx did, right?
The blue shirt dude must hide
Let's push the camera by
And now here's one last request to play some checkers
And then the dudes all fall down like loose feathers

Love you, too, Unobomber.

Good idea but this one really needs a recording/ video to work out properly. Fun idea though.

The unabomber must have graffiti sprayed on his wall so the parody may have been a sensitive subject for him. Here's 555 written on this parody.

(Artistry) I'm not the biggest fan of "Literal Version" parodies, but since OK Go videos are so interesting, it really help a lot. Still it's hard to really appreciate a literary version parody without a video. I liked it, it just doesn't translate to written form as it does in the video medium.

(Artistry) Like B-Man said, this one really needs the video to make sense (or at the very least an understanding that OK Go videos are nucking futs), but it's still really well done. And of course with the video it's hilarious. OK Go must've spent 555 hours setting that video up.

I love OK Go, I love the OS, I love the original video...and this was a fitting tribute. It particularly amazing that you managed to get each line of the song to not only rhyme with the original, but doing so while describing what happens in the original video. Excellent job!

I can totally understand how this particular video made you come up with the subgenre Literal Video Version - and how the Metric video reminded you of it again. One might have to be a veteran to fully appreciate these things about Amiright, but hey I am - so cool!
