Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The historic Boston Tea Party (or at least how I see it). :)
[Benjamin Rush]
Intro: Hey! Britians and Colonists
We got a special treat for you tonight
I’m gonna call my friend Sammy up here to…
To preach to you people
Sammy! Let’s go man!

[Samuel Adams]
Verse 1: My name is Sammy
Nice to meet you, can I speak a minute?
Look around here in town
We got Brits up in it
They tax our tea, now that ain’t right!
No! (Oh, oh, oh, no)
I was protesting the tax on tea when someone said it
“On the boat, there’s our tea, let’s go in and get it!”
We won’t give up without a fight!

Chorus: We just went and threw! Oh baby!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
Into the blue! Oh baby!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
Uh!

Verse 2: We’re being sneaky, boat is creaky in the bay now
Loosen ropes and let the chests sink down, down
Take that Britain! Yeah! Hope you’re surprised!
Yeah!
I see the product sinking in the harbor
Didn’t know it, but it made things harder
Don’t care, cuz we beat the Red Coat that one night
Yeah!
When they say our deed
Floating on the top of the bay knowing that we never will recede
They knew right then, that we would fight
And we’d be dumping our tea all night right!

Chorus: Ooh! Oh baby!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
Into the blue! Oh baby!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight

Bridge: Dump it all out, uh! (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
C’mon! Spill it like that! (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
Now send that news back! (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
Whoo!
We dumped that tea to fight!
Boston time, Boston time, c’mon now!
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
All that tea! (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
Goes down in the sea!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight

Chorus: C’mon! We just went and threw! Oh baby!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
Everybody, get somebody, c’mon now!
Ooh, just dump the chest, we can prove that we’re the best
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
And everybody fling!
Brits don’t be surprised
We just dumped our tea tonight!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
Into the blue! Don’t be surprised!
We just dumped our tea tonight!
We all just went and dumped that tea tonight
Yeah!

Never heard the OS before, but it's pretty darn catchy, I can totally see our forefathers singing this while dumping tea overboard, nice work!

(Ages) Heard this OS the first time and loved it. Makes the right statement in one of the most important and protesting time in our history! I found this to be very educational, as well as hilarious. Well I'm going to have to tax 5.55% if you plan to have a tea party with me!! LOL!!

(Ages5) This song came out in the last coupla years? It sounds like something from the 50's but sung by a Bruno Mars soundalike. That said, cool parody here, this is one of the few bits of American history I'm familiar with. 555!

(AofA) I love this OS. I really hope that Olly makes the jump across the pond to the U.S., he's so talented. As for the parody, I thought your title sub was perfect. The tone of the songs matched perfectly. It was just so enjoyable. Awesome job bro! 555 bags of tea for you to throw overboard!

Ages...FUN...as I said on the thread, I'd considering doing something re: the Boston Tea Party...but I'm glad I didn't, as this is great. :)
