Like the sentiment, but the reference to the Evil Empire refered to the Soviet Union under Andropov, much different than Russian under putin; both evil yes, but different form of evil.
Not that much, since Putin (once a KGB officer) has stated that his life goal is to restore the former Soviet Union.
