It’s BBQ time
Stuff runs through my mind
I flip the chicken over and
I realize that this time
There’s something my guests don’t like

If my marinade was really that bad
I should’ve thrown it out and started over
On my grill, on the plate
The steaks are good, chicken’s not that great
Tonight, here in my backyard
