"Darkness Dies"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This is pure sci-fi based on Luc Besson's plans for a "Fifth Element" sequel for 2017, the 20th anniversary. The film is to be shot after completion of Besson's current film. This is my take of "Darklight: The Sixth Element."
Young girl
Parent's fame
New flow of blood
Mr. Shadow's hate
Survived, renewed time
For pain
Young girl
Illuminata begs

[Pre-Chorus]
Far from home
Mondoshawans
Dark, new weapon
Zorg survived, ZF-1
Acting crazy
Mangalores
Honor raising
Korben's slaving
Ruby Rhod is raving!

[Chorus]
Leeloo cries, her daughter is missing
Darkness envelopes, light now is fading
Searching Fhloston, searching the cities
Illu is hurting, Leeloo's heart is breaking
Korben's fighting, massive undertaking
Vito Cornelius in Egypt is silent praying

Young girl
She's in pain
Fierce like her Pop
Got her mom's dense DNA
The gift of Divine Light, but cannot sustain
Young girl
Whose tortured soul aches

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

Stones not enough, not enough, not enough
Darklight snuffs, yes it snuffs, yes it snuffs
Out the lives of the weak and the tough
Is love enough? love enough? love enough?
For Illu to save all of us?

[Chorus]

"What's the point in saving life when you see what you do with it?"

WAR!!!

Tears and fear, destruction reigns, inner light goes out again
Love and kisses, torment and pain, centuries lost without true gains
Is it all or nothing? All lost in vain?
Mother-Daughter-Father play the cosmic game

Again!!!

Darkness dies when the light of love shines supreme...
Notes: in the book, Zorg survived the hotel explosion via the ZF-1 pod weapon shield. Illu is Leeloo's daughter Illuminata Kronis Ela-Vara Revan-Naya Dallas. She possesses both the Sword Light of Love and the Song of Cosmic Harmony. Mr. Shadow turns out to be a form-taking dark fluidic being of ultimate evil.

Luc Besson's current sci-fi project is "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" based on the French Valerian et Laureline comic series of the '70s: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/df/Valerian-EmpireOfAThousandPlanets.jpg

"The fifth element" was such a disappointment despite its visuals, only "Prometheus" has ever let me down as much in the sci-fi genre. Well, maybe "Blair Witch Project" was worse, but then again it didn't even have good visuals. BTW, I just heard that "Evil Dead" has returned as a television series in the states, really looking forward to seeing that over here next year!

Over here, Peter, "Fifth Element" is a cult sci-fi favorite. Luc Besson is my favorite French director. Some of his hits include: "The Professional", " Angel A", "District B13" movies, "Lucy", and he has produced a ton more. 5E was a blast with those that love Milla Jovovich and Bruce Willis. The visuals were based on French Moebius artwork. American sci-fi is huge an overwhelming. After ours, most Americans prefer British. 5E was French. I love " Avalon" which is Polish and showed in largely sepia until a plot twist turns it to color near the end. Japanese and HK Cinema are cool too, but anime heavy IMHO. I prefer live-action. Sorry Peter, but I have no Swedish movies. I have Icelandic, Finnish, Norwegian, and Russian for your area. Can you name your country's best know film or any good sci-fi?

Don't get me started on the sorry state of Swedish sci-fi films. We're not really big enough for an independent movie industry, everything big enough for the big screen or a longer television series gets done with money channeled from government funds for culture, i.e tends to be socialist propaganda in disguise. Last years big hit (I haven't seen it) was a series called, and I translate; ”Real People”, about androids in the future being used and exploited as a new working class until they rise up against their oppressors, or something like that. It's possible it was at least semi-good, apparently it's been licensed for an english version, but it sounded way to predictable to me. As for ”The Fifth Element” it's of course possible that it flew over my head at the time or that I wasn't in the right mood for it, maybe expecting something different etc, I'll make a mental note in the back of my head not to immediatelly flip the channel if it's ever on late at night in the future.
