You know I'm going for the hot take on this. If you ever checked which NHL team, in USD, has the largest gross revenue in ticket sales every year, it's always the Leafs. You can't expect the Leafs to win the cup without the underlying current of "oh they bought the Stanley Cup b/c they sell out in ticket sales every year." What motivation does this team have when in the offseason, the Stanley Cup stays at the Hockey Hall of Fame IN TORONTO!! I think it's time this franchise got the Bud Light treatment even if it's trying not to be woke. It's the only way these players will learn. Fans won't respect players that get paid soo much up front and do nothing to show for it.
