Parody Song Title:
"A Place Across the Sea"
The Lyrics
There is a place across the sea
They call The Continent,
And half our exports flow to there
By rail or road through Kent.
Some stuff goes through tunnels
Bulky items go on ships.
We take this trade for granted
As it moves on daily trips.
Now the only thing that Boris needs
Is to slow this traffic down,
But fears of extra paperwork
Are making farmers frown.
Many crafts and businesses
Now rely on foreign trade
And some firms’ viability
Depends on when they’re paid.
Some folks cram the airports,
Whilst more go on the train
But border checks and healthcare needs
Might cause them extra pain.
The fishermen need notice
If they’re to raise their game,
But if detachment’s difficult
Will Boris take the blame?
There is a place across the sea
They call The Continent,
And half our exports flow to there
By rail or road through Kent.
