The Lyrics

Ok, purists! The "ghoul" in this song is actually a vampire. The word ghoul just works better in the title. I also resisted the temptation to rhyme Bela Lugosi with Nancy Pelosi. ;D

Pale and thin and white as caulking,
The ghoul from Transylvania comes stalking,
And after midnight - each one that she'll bite says
(SCREAM!)
Slowing walking like a zombie,
Her gown's not made by Abercrombie,
And all the peasants who run like pheasants say
(SCREAM!)

Wrapped - in the foggy miasma,
She - is a sexy "phantasma".
She's - only after your plasma.
It won't count who you are - what the heck.
She'll stick her fangs into your neck.

Stay on guard close to your campfire
Or you may meet this stunning vampire.
She comes to drain you of blood -
She's not Elmer Fudd!

(Stan Getz style tenor sax solo to bridge...lithe, agile, and airy - like a bat!)

Heed - old Van Helsing's direction:
Have - crucifix for protection.
She - cannot see her reflection.
'Though her charms will go straight to your head,
Beware - for this ghoul is undead!

Watch for her when she is roamin' -
She's only after your hemoglobin.
She'll drink you dry tonight -
You'll be out of luck!
This ghoul sure can suck!

Sooo - if it's so close to Halloween, how come the Reds didn't have any "bats"? ;D

Vampires may suck, but your song sure doesn't. Wonderful imagery. I had a picture in my mind as I read your song that reminded me of a scene from an old Ed Wood movie. Perfect rhymes. Great lead up to Halloween.

Very creative title, extra clever rhymes, make this a fine mix of horror and humor, and the best Halloween parody submit I've seen this year..

The Lugosi/Pelosi song would have been sooo much funnier and weightier -- hope you do it! . But this was a 555, and that's no "type-O, positive! " :-D
          Fave was the miasma/fantasma/plasma.

True, it's funny - until you awaken undead and drained utterly of your lifeblood. Now, you are a witch-puppet, and that witch that drained you of blood owns your body, which she controls utterly, and your soul, both in the present and the hereafter - where you shall be her boot-slave. Come now - witches are horrible. Put some Stephen Kink in it, please! (Joking. Quite good nonetheless.)
