The Lyrics

the newborn earth...had fruit, verboten
not for sharin'...god had spoken
they had enough to fill...the bible's notin'
there wasn't need for more...their tummies were near bloatin'
and god was sure to see them...cause he's...omnipotent
but they...failed him
over and over and over again, my friend
ah, you'd best believe...that darned ol' eve caused destruction

satan had a plan...and it...came into play
as a snake, appeared...and he...had much to say
that gal's buttons got pushed...and she drove god away
and when she misbehaved...the whole future was paved
and she took along her boy...the end of both their joy
cause they...failed him
over and over and over again, my friend
ah, you'd best believe...that darned ol' eve caused destruction

yeah, when god gets mad...his garden gets vacatin'
he made that clear...but here came satan
when he twisted the truth...eve broke the regulations
ate the forbidden...much to god's frustration
the pair were thrown...from their fine location
and dumped from the world...where god first placed 'em
cause they...failed him
over and over and over again, my friend
ah, you'd best believe...that darned ol' eve caused destruction

think of how man's fate...could be much finer
why did they fool around...things could have been kinder
we could have peace here...instead, we're ablaze
if satan was spurned...maybe not so crazed
god pounded man, who's dumb...no pride, just disgrace
and he left us for dead...when he gave us our space
and just like our neighbors...we wound up in this bad place
cause we...failed him
over and over and over and over again, my friend
ah, you'd best believe...that darned ol' eve caused destruction
yeah, you'd best believe...that darned ol' eve cause destruction

Well-thought-out...but, I must respectfully disagree with one line; yes, God lets bad things happen, but he never "leaves us for dead." Nevertheless, yours is a much, MUCH finer biblical parody than P. Robinson's "For Your Sins, Gave His Life." I don't know the OS, but if I did, I'd probably give it 555.

I loved this parody except for the one line about God leaving us for dead.
