Ever since I was about nine years old, I have loved complaining about back-to-school shopping. It's been a sort of contest among my siblings and I to see who could complain the loudest, most obnoxiously, or most dramatically. This has resulted in funeral marches and pseudo-Broadway-style complaining songs being sung while shopping for binders, backpacks, etc. Needless to say, our mother is utterly mortified at our dramatic outbursts, and most other people in the stores are completely weirded out by us. It's fun though....and it makes the whole going-back-to-school-when-I'm-not-halway-done-with-my-summer-assignments thing SO much less depressing!!!!
