Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Since I mocked all the Beatle' songs several years ago, I thought I'd add them to the HUGE number that's already here. Maybe there's a few that haven't been done yet
Let me make you drown
In a pile of goo-cranberry sauce
See who's the boss
It's something that you ought to try
Cranberry sauce forever

Eating is hard on Thanksgiving
There's all this food you gotta try
You're getting fat and still
The folks say "You're so thin"
And still you gorge and wonder why

Let me make you drown
In a pile of true -cranberry sauce
See who's the boss
It's something that you ought to try
Cranberry sauce forever

No one I think is in my league
There's enough food to gag a horse
But still you don't want to insult the relatives
So you shove down another course

Let me make you drown
In a pile of new -cranberry sauce
See who's the boss
It's something that you gotta try
Cranberry sauce forever

Always know when you've had enough
It's time hit the head and purge
I think you know there's now
Some room for the dessert
Your diet's blown so go and splurge

Bleh...hate cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving ( or anytime), unlike this parody, which is good.

Nice takeoff on Lennon's end-of-song comment. You could've concluded with "I buried Paul...in mashed potatoes."

Missed this one first time around - mmm, mmm!

Thanks for surfing here, JD. I recorded this one, using the actual cellos and horns from the original. A friend gave me a bootleg of just those parts, so I replayed everything else and added them. If we ever get our website together I'll put it on there, along with about ten others we've done.

If you listen at the end of the recording, you can hear Rick murmur "strawberry fields...." :)

Actually, I say "I buried Linda", but I mixed it real low because it's in pretty bad taste, and you know I don't want to be accused of THAT!

I heard this on the radio almost twenty five years ago with my father. We've been looking for it ever since. Maybe put the audio on YouTube. I would listen.
