Parody Song Title:

"You Can't Sing That"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I've something to say that's gonna cause you pain.
If I catch you singing that note wrong again.
I'm gonna knock you down, and leave you flat.
Because I told you before, oh, you can't sing that.
That's the second time I caught you singing out of tune.
If I have to tell you one more time, you'll look like a prune.
I think I'll knock you down, and leave you flat.
Because I told you before, oh, you can't sing that.
You'll be looking green, 'cause I'm the one who smashed your face.
But if they'd seen you singing your best, they'd smash in the rest.
So please listen to me if you want your life.
You know I can't help my feelings, so I'll use a knife.
I think I'll cut you down, and leave you flat.
Because I told you before, oh, you can't sing that.

Funny, Nate. This has always been one my early Beatles favorites, a little home-made grungier than some of their other work of the period. Please don't ask me to join your band. If you heard my singing I hate to think what you'd do to me. Personally I would have left in the backing lines after 3rd line, e.g. (gonna knock you, gonna leave you flat) or other variations, as it carries the impetus along. Just saying.
