The Lyrics

THE JOURNEY THAT SENT ME LOCO

Standing in a queue there at Heathrow,
Waiting for my turn in the fray,
The man up ahead
Turned to me and then said
They say you’re never gonna get off today.

I just knew it would happen,
As every time it’s the same.
They all have excuses,
And no-one is taking the blame.

I had planned a trip to New Zealand,
Going there to see my old man.
But on booking the flight
Nothing seemed to go right,
It took me ages to prepare a new plan.

I just knew it would happen,
As every time it’s the same.
They all have excuses,
And no-one is taking the blame.

Booked a flight that took me via Sri Lanka,
Seated in economy class.
We had boarded the plane
But were kicked off again;
The situation was one massive big farce.

I just knew it would happen,
As every time it’s the same.
They all have excuses,
And no-one is taking the blame.

Having taken off and sitting comfortably,
What then happened next, I’d never guess.
The man on my right
Threw up, what a sight,
The stewards had to clear up all the mess.

I thought I would watch a good movie,
Dozing off in front of the screen;
But as I switched on
All the pictures had gone,
And there wasn’t a thing to be seen.

I just knew it would happen,
As every time it’s the same.
They all have excuses,
And no-one is taking the blame.

Finally, I got to New Zealand
Hoping that my dad would be there;
The news I received
I just couldn’t believe,
The poor sod was back into care.

I just knew it would happen,
As every time it’s the same.
They all have excuses,
And no-one is taking the blame.
They all have excuses,
And no-one is taking the blame.

All these negative scores are total trollish @ssh*lery. I mean, ten "Ones" for pacing? I dont see a single pacing error, and this is probably the wordiest song the Beatles ever did. This is a good one; one of your best.
