The Lyrics

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq6YmSVAOG8
I started out broke, a squirt without dough for buying
But I was so wee, and my folks bought for me, oh oh

I started to drive and started a job worth having
Oh, and I had a dream that I'd stow up some green

I took me a bride, stunning and grand, glowing with pride
And I shelled out some bread, keeping us fed, a roof overhead

The kids finally drive, but work in the cold earth digging
So denied of a dream and how broke they will be

I look at these guys running our land, bleeding us dry
And I yell out in dread, cursing the worth they wring from our bread

When I finally die, departing the dough earned living
Oh, in wry irony, oh yeah, flat out broke I will be, oh no
Flat out broke I will be-ee-ee-ee
No-oh-oh-oh dough

Nice job with this one Derry. A sort of 'Cat's in the Cradle' but covering a longer period, with a touch more grim reality thrown in.
