Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The New York Yankees choked in epic fashion, losing in 7 games to the Boston Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS after being one inning away from a 4 game sweep
Yanks started to choke, after Game 4, were dying.
But they just didn't see... what a choke it would be... oh-oh no...

Yanks had gotten by... with very thin starter staffing.
But the Red Sox's team... wouldn't choke, wouldn't flee.

Surprise! No Red Sox demise! Ruined Yanks' plans... World Series prize.
Two leads, Rivera shed; Yanks lost instead, ex-kings who once led.

Defied the Yankees' pride; surprised baseball world by giving...
Payback for last year's team.... Yankees choked; misery.

Surprise! No Red Sox demise! Ruined Yanks' plans... World Series prize.
Two leads, Rivera shed; Yanks lost instead, ex-kings who once led.

Defied the Yankees' pride, surprised baseball world by giving...
Payback for last year's team.... Yankees choked, misery.

This Mets fan found the Yanks' collapse very gratifying. So was this parody.

I'll bet Steinbrenner (should that be Geldbrenner?) is really choking.

Well done, Will.

Will, these comments aren't so bad, are they? Why don't you consider enabling comments on all (or even some) of your political parodies?

Hell truly has frozen over: The Red Sox have beaten the Yankees in a Game 7 at Yankee Stadium, and I've voted all ones on a William Tong parody. What's next, me making fun of Bill Clinton? (Wait, I've done that too: "Repubthumping.") If you ever catch me ordering a veggie-burger, that'll be four signs of the Apocalypse, and you better get your affairs in order!

If Hell really had frozen over, Michael, you would have voted Republican. :D
