Just saw Alanis Morrisette's take on "My Humps." Weird Al, move over. This was a regular riot. Alanis is not the kind of performer who would do that kind of song, and she sings it as a slow, mournful piano ballad. I swear, I am not making this up.

The OS's title should read "Spanish Harlem." It was Ben E.'s first single after leaving the Drifters, 1961. Written by Jerry Lieber & Mike Stoller. Memorably covered in a hopped-up version by Aretha Franklin in 1970. (Pretty much the reverse of what happened with "My Humps."
