The Lyrics

In 1980, A game called Defender became one of the greatest video games of all-time next to Pac-Man. Here is a tribute to that game.
I was hanging out in the arcade all morning long
and when the noonday came
I wanted to come home
But then, a new arcade game came, the fans waited for days
When I saw this new game, boy I was amazed
Now that it's coming, I wanna come and play just The Defender, Defender

The number of quarters to start game was .25 below
When I pressed the start button, I was in full control
This was the graphics and sound only a gamer could give
Began in 1980, 24 years later, it still lives
When I saw the title, I said "sweet!"
Eugene Jarvis was a guy I'd like to meet
The guy who made Robotron that used moving arms
Makes this sacred place even warm
Now that I found it, I wanna play around on the Defender, Defender
Gone Chicago bound, now it's playing 'round town, it's Defender, Defender

Back at school, the teacher said, "What kind of job do you want to be?"
"I want to be a space commander, Mr. Mayne!", said me
I saw aliens on the top, and humans on the bottom side
When I stuck off a couple aliens, man I feel satisfied
If you wanna play Galaga or Burgertime, don't
Dance Dance Revolution? Maybe you won't
But when Defender arrived, it's already #1
So go down to the arcade and have some Williams fun
Rescuing humaniods, baby I got it
The graphics and sounds, i'm just carzy about it
If you're looking for a game you'll never get tired of, it's Defender, Defender
You can play a while, or play for more quarters on Defender, Defender

Good job. ( you should have used Cheap Trick's Surrender, would have been perfect)
