Parody Song Title:

"Dubya Is Said To Be A Liar"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

While George Bush Jr. is said to have lied about Saddam having WMD, his claim is hardly unique. Numerous Democrats, such as Nancy Pelosi, Madalene Albright, Al Gore, William Cohen, and both Clintons, have said also said that Saddam had or was trying to develop WMD. Some of these statements were made before W became Prez, or after leaving the government when Mr. Bill stepped down, so they could not have been based on "cherry-picked" intelligence reports. This would make W the cleverest of liars, lying by saying the same thing that many others have also said.
Dubya is said to be a liar
And just like the guy whose feet are put into the fire
Somethin' didn't fit
Did anyone else say things about Saddam's weapons?

So I just did me some searchin' on the web
And I came to find the things that were said by the Dems
They sound just like Bush
Those Dems were concerned about Saddam and his weapons

But it's a mystery
How Dubya said the same things as the Democrats
But now they say, that they did not lie, only he did

Some say that Dubya cherry-picked
But that don't explain the stuff when our Prez still was Slick
They were saying then
But I'm never gonna stop the Dems from complainin'
Because I'm free
Kerry won't carry me.

(instrumental)

I just can't see, how Dems did not lie, only Bush did

Dubya is said to be a fake
But I think he may have made an honest big mistake
Lying's not for me
But I'm never gonna stop the Dems from complainin'
Because I'm free
Kerry won't carry me
A challenge: Can anyone give me the name of just 1 US citizen, who sincerely believed that Saddam did NOT have WMD, and said so publicly before the start of the war in Iraq?

I only had (pacing) trouble with one line in this whole song, so I figured it was probably my error, everything else worked so well. 555, Steve!

Jee... you use a song three times in five days and suddenly it´s like you´ve started a whole trend. :-)

Actually, I was thinking to myself how good this song is to tell little stories, and guessing for myself that there would soon come political parodies based on it. Even dotted down some possible titles to test my own psychic abilities. Came up close but normal (whatever that means) though. Let´s see, (from memory) I had:

Dubya keeps lying ´bout Iraq

Kerry keeps wobbling ´bout his past

Soldier´s keep dying in Iraq

Kerry´s the best man for the job

Dubya´s a worldwide hoooo-ligan

With names interchangeable depending on which candidate the author preferes.

Steve--good parody

Outstanding parody, Steve. I like the "Kerry won't carry me" line and the way you put the issue into perspective. The Iraq war might or might not be a mistake; but, if it is, it is an honest mistake.

Kerry won't carry you, because you weigh too much -- from the neck up. You want somebody who said Saddam didn't have WMDs BEFORE the war and said so publicly? ME! OK, maybe Amiright isn't "public" enough for you, but if Jay Jay the Jet Plane can say "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" in May '03, then I claim victory here. Now, what do I win? Hopefully, a new President! I'll settle for nothing less, because what we've got now is less than nothing!
