"V-Rays Keep Falling On My Skin"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Anyone who has lived fifty or more years in the deserts of the Southwest can relate to this
V-rays keep falling on my skin
And just like a guy who rents a room at the ol' Shut Inn
Musn't go outside
You .. V rays keep falling on my skin
U keep falling

So I just did me some talking to The Cloud
And I said it looks like Mister Sun has got you cowed
You never show your face
So .. V-rays keep falling on my skin
They keep falling

But there's one thing I show
The UVs sent to heat me
Do mistreat me
It won't be long till cancer cells show up to greet me

V-rays keep falling on my skin
But that doesn't mean my doc must call my next of kin
Dying's not for me
Cause I'm never gonna stop the spread by complaining

Cause for a fee
Doc is surgerin' me

(Cue ten second trumpet solo as I drift into anesthesia-induced unconsciousness)

It won't be long till squamous cells return to greet me

V-rays keep falling on my skin
Looks like it means my life will soon be all shut in
Morlock's life for me
Cause, I'm never gonna bring on rain by complaining
Because you see
Blotches worrying me ....

Urgent update: This song will soon be featured in the upcoming movie, "Cass Butchidy and The Raindance Kid" ... about two Bolivian payroll thieves who flee to America to escape the Bolivian Army and die in a shootout with a posse of lawmen hired by EH Harriman, head of the Union Pacific railroad

This should be UV rays, not V rays which is something different altogether. 5-4-4

Same thing happens to me… it's what I get for being of predominantly Irish heritage.

But Tim, I make it clear in the first stanza that I'm talking about UV rays. Say the fourth line out loud

UV doesn't heat you; infrared does.

I'm half Irish, Amanda, but I'm not all that fair skinned. I was the darkest skinned baby of all my brothers and sisters. My oldest brother was born a blond and he worked outside in the AZ sun his whole life and now he basically has to avoid the summer sun completely due to several skin cancer incidents. I'm guessing I'll need a treatment for skin cancer in the next seven to ten years

might as well be walkin' on the sun... 5's

Yes I know, Basil, but "the UVs sent to heat me" seems to work better with "the blues they send to meet me" from the OS. Work with me here ..... Oh BTW, dont take this personally, but I'm having you surgically removed next month.

You could have wrote this about Captain America too. His body was bombarded with Vita Rays! 5s

Another fair-skinned Irishman weighs in. Summer is a terror for me. I can cover up when outdoors. I reenact 19th Century Old West for comedy performances, and people in those days wore hats and long-sleeves. It's the heat that bothers me. I've heard another song about talking to the moon or a cloud. This is a good parody, especially since I know the original song.

Alternate last 2 lines .... Without UV's .... Lacking Vitamin D (da da daa da daa da da .......)
