The Lyrics

Amusin' coincidence ... I'd just come up with this parody's title sub and written the first verse Sunday afternoon and what turns up on IFC? Kevin Spacey, et al in the biopic, "Beyond The Sea." :-)
Some hair is in my tea!
A fair waitress I see
uncovered stands,
her golden strands
are dropping some drips
of Darjeeling.

“I swear,” she moaned glumly
“that hair wasn’t from me!”
I stood and cried “Absurd! “ thereby
creating alarms.
“My Darjeeling!”

“You are beyond subpar,
it’s clear, a blonde buffoon,
you know,” begu n my shout,
“a tart who needs her hair pruned.”

“I’ll treat you to a pour,
Sir (this one’s on the store),
cappin’ my bean this time … I mean
to get no hair in your Darjeeling.”

And so, this blonde girl scout
has heart, fills tea, gives spare spoon.

She treats me to a pour,
(and this one’s on the store),
cappin’ her bean this time … she means
to get no hair in my Darjeeling.”

Oh, more Darjeeling …
Ooooh, strong Darjeeling.
Why chai? Darjeeling!

Brilliant timing as I drink my morning coffee. Had to check the whole cup to see if anything made it in there. Darjeeling sub...lol, good laugh for a Monday morning!

it takes a master to make hair in one's tea funny...but you pulled it off (and out)

Very funny - 555- in an icky kind of way. We've all been there.

Thanks, everyone. :-)
Jeff -- my thoiught while lyricking this one was "I'm glad I don't drink tea!"
Timmy1K -- "Icky," indeed. But more or less worse than the cockroach-inserted yogurt that Ving Rhame's colleague ate in "Striptease"? :-)

Hey there my DarjeeLing Guy, I prefer OO-Long when "I take my Cowboy to Tea", Sir!

Waitress, there's a hair in my tea - I'm only gonna tip you $5.55!

Gag me with a teaspoon - I mean the situation but not your parody.

I've been unfortunate enough to find pubic hair in a pecan pie from Stuckey's once or twice (I've never gone back), and I enjoyed this parody. 5s.

Thanks, 00Long, Leo, 2Eagle and Andria -- . thanks for sharing, But "... once or _twice_"??!!?? :-)

lil-00long -- Actually, the only kind of tea I _ever_ drink is Laphsang Souchong, whose smokiness is somewhat reminiscent of an Islay single malt (think Laphroaig, Lgavulin, Caol Ila, ...), and I _never_ choose the tea when the Scotch is an option. :-)

Stan: I said "once or twice", but it was actually twice that I remember. It could have been just once, or it could have been more than twice. "Once or twice" just seemed convenient to use.

Andria -- I just meant that once would've convinced me to seek my pecan pies elsewhere. I was food-poisoned once at a KFC in 1966 and haven't darkened the colonels' doors since. :-)

Good to see the waitress pressing hirsute.. I mean her suit. Lucky it wasn't Lapsang Souchong tea, though

Excellent erudition n' deglutition! And apparently, hir-, um, -suits you!

Thanks, Phil & TJC... I love when all you readers pilose kudos on. :-)

I'll have a cup of Darjeeling Tea, hold the blond hair, please! It got me thinking of that episode of Ren and Stimpy where Ren breaks out in allergies due to Stimpy's hair and Stimpy pours him a cup of tea all filled with his disgusting red hair. That episode grossed me out a whole lot! Anyways, great story, excellent pacing, lovely rhyming of the OS, colorful lyrics. I enjoy every moment of it. I'll gladly treat you to 5 cups of tea, minus the hair!
