The Lyrics

I'm gonna take a guess that this is the first parody on this site about hip replacement surgery.
Well the time will come up when again I'll walk
And my legs will cease to be useless
Oh that surgery you see will be wonderful for me
The hour that my hip goes in
Fell from my go-kart and it came apart
And I've been in a wheelchair since that minute
Now I just can't wait, it will be so great
Every race I run I'll win it

Oh the people you know in the elderly folks home
We have got something in common
We all wait here in pain, we need a cane
To help us till our hips come in
And the doctors get points for our ball and socket joints
They'll not be underpaid for their service
I just hope really hard they'll find my insurance card
And the surgeon doesn't come up sick or nervous

Put me under please, don't wanna be teased
By the folks with a working pelvis
I'm catching so much crap from some guy with the clap
Can't wait until my hip goes in
And the nursing staff will not give me a laugh
When I try to joke of my condition
And the ugly one always tries to have some fun
Sponge baths without my permission

Every night I dream, bout bouncing on a trampoline
And the sports I will play as I am healing
I will jump around and scream and I'll walk a balance beam
The hour that my hip goes in
I'll show everyone my new improved skeleton
And I hope they don't think that I am bragging
Once again I'm strong and now it won't be long
Till I'm walking without dragging

I don't know the song, but I thought that this was done extremely well!

Unfortunately, I can relate. Very tough song, and though a couple of rhymes were off, you did a great job.

Just finished watching part one of the Dylan special on PBS and instead of finding the real words came upon this fine parody. Kudos to the Great Karlando.
