The Lyrics

Don't Know The Original Song (DKTOS)? It's on YouTube.
It's payday, oh yeah!
Ole' day, oh oh oh yeah
It's time for partying loud
Go drinking out with the crowd
We can drink in the glow of a bar that I know of
From five o'clock to closing time
Let's enjoy a profusion
Of quality booze on my dime
Then we'll listen to Sammy
He sings it so hammy sometimes

It's payday, oh yeah!
It's my heyday, oh oh oh yeah
The Rat Pack is doing their thing
Those guys sure know how to swing

With Joey and Deano and Frank and sometimes Angie is there
This casino is really hoppin' and no one has a care
We all know the business is run by a guy name of Guido
But we don't worry because all the shows are so neato

It's payday, oh yeah!
Hit the buffet, oh oh oh yeah
Then try my luck at the slots
And this time I will hit the jackpot
And tomorrow, tomorrow I won't need to borrow
The dough that I win sees me through
And I'll buy everybody a drink and a steak dinner too
Then I'll spend every night in this star studded fun cabaret

It's payday, oh yeah!
I say hooray, oh oh oh yeah
But after my gambling fling
I find I ain't won a thing
It's true, so what'll I do
My money grew wings and it flew
Do you have a spare buck or two?

Not a fan of the original song at all... It kind of reminds me of this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z4m4lnjxkY&feature=fvst (But at least the one I linked is goofy). The parody is pretty good but reminds me a lot of what T-Cop posted for this round going as far as the title itself.

Matt, I had no idea TCOP also wrote a payday parody. (I generally don't look at what others have posted until after I post mine.) That said, I guess great parody minds think alike, eh TCOP? ;-)

(artistry) I'm with Matty on the OS. It's kinda a sleepy little song. Your parody livened it up though. Good job!

(Artistry) Loved the idea of a tribute within the same artisty schema!

(Artistry) I think this is a great job!

(Artistry) The title here doesnt really capture what the parody is about. I dug the references to the Rat Pack and its mythical lifestyle, Rex.

(Artistry) Holy crap, Rex called me a great parody mind! That's fantastic. So is this parody, getting back to the point. Very different take on the whole "I got cash!!1" idea, liked the ending twist. Pacing was great too. 555!
