The Lyrics

Two days late (not at all unusual for Rat Park August), we take note of the six state senate recall races in Wisconsin. The Democratic Party needed a gain of three to break the Republican hold on the upper chamber and scuttle Governor Scott Walker's controversial collective-bargaining bill. They realized a net gain of only two seats, but the results are being treated as a mandate. Some thirty million dollars were contributed to these campaigns, much of it from union political funds. But take heart...now the public protests can continue unabated! Who wants to go through the democratic process when it's much more fun to act up in the streets? ;D

Special recall voting in Wisconsin,
Unions boast Scott Walker's going down.
Change of three seats in the senate
Will shackle that clown.

Massive labor effort in election,
War chest of some thirty million bucks.
Two seats won - no new direction.
Says unions "That sucks!".

Now there's lots of loud complaining.
There is naught for Richard Trumpka to enjoy.
Just guess who was leading the campaigning?
'Twas the fourteen Dems who fled to Illinois.

'Though the Dems have claimed this is a mandate,
And they raise their loud defiant chant.
Badger voters weren't so irate.
More said "No We Can't!".

Liberals proclaim that this is tragic.
Hear all the proud smug talking heads bemoan their fate.
So where is the famed Obama Magic?
Well perhaps today is not two-thousand-eight.

Do not think this vote will stop the blather.
Thugs will not admit/accept defeats.
Far-left folks would always rather
Take it to the streets!

I thought that perhaps this was harsh. As I was writing these end comments, however, I watched liberal activists shouting down and disrupting a stump speech by Mitt Romney in Iowa. So I'll stand by this parody. ;D

Libs love their so called mandates. The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals just struck down Obismal's individual health care mandate. The Supreme Court will eventually do the same. Buh-bye Obismal. 555 for this slice of cheese!

Sometimes, just the fact that people fight over something is a sign that that something is tainted or cursed. I do heartily approve of voters being able to recall public officials before their terms are over. This should apply to federal officials, especially. Look what's happening in England. The state can no longer afford to pay these thugs not to riot. Or, more likely, the thugs will just take the money and riot anyway. How many trillions have we spent in this country since 1965 for this same purpose? Though the politicians will never be honest enough to admit it.

Four Democrat senators also were put on recall notice; two already survived but two are in peril next week, so the R/D ratio could go back to the previous 19/14. Stay tuned, Ribber! The union motto is "Ev'rybody shoves somebody sometime." ;^) 555
