The Lyrics

I know Christmas is over, but this one is not dependent upon time of year.
You're a mean one, Mister Bush.
You really are a heel.
You walked right into the White House
with a win that wasn't real
Mister Bu...ush!

You're trying to roll back advancements
from Clinton back to the New Deal.

You're a monster, Mister Bush.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of nothing
and you think you've saved your soul
Mister Bu...ush!

You're dumber than Dan Quayle
and meaner than Bob Dole!

You're a vile one, Mister Bush.
You drip blood from your smile.
You have all the real compassion
of Steve Irwin's crocodile
Mister Bu...ush!

Given no choice by your fascism
you want people to say "Heil!"

You're a foul one, Mister Bush.
You're a nasty, wasted skunk.
Or economy is ruined
with your side-of-supply junk
Mister Bu...ush!

The three words that best describe your words, and I quote:
"Lies! False! Bunk!"

You're a liar, Mister Bush.
You're the king of sinful sots.
Where are those big, bad awful weapons
you say Saddam Hussein's gots
Mister Bu...ush?

And if Iraq was about 9/11
you've provided no proof
that ties Saddam to those plots.

You nauseate me, Mister Bush
from head down to my shoes.
You're as hooked on oil and money
as you used to be on booze
Mister Bu...ush!

And on the second of November...
you... are... going... to... loooo...ose!

5-5-5 Nice job. Found just a slight error though. I think you men "OUR economy is ruined" Again, nice job

Michael, Though I disagree with your sentiment, it is a good parody of the Grinch song. I think an honest assessment of the facts will bear out that we're hardly in bad shape at all. With that in mind, may you have a very Happy New Jersey Year. The ball's coming down in Times Square - 10-9-8-7-6. . .5-5-5.

You're right, Jude. I didn't even realize it until now. But an honest assessment of the facts has borne out that holiday sales were down this year, and consumer confidence just took another dip (thanks to the Big Dip). A happy New Jersey year? The Devils and Nets did their best, and will do so again!

The parody itself I gave 4-5-4. As for the sentiments: 1)Bush really did win Florida; 2)The economy and stock markets are dragging because the multi-billionaire business snobs are Rockefeller Republicans who DO NOT like having a social conservative in the White House. That also explains why they ran up the numbers for Clinton; 3)If you're referring to the P****** A**, I agree, that worries me too, so much that I did a parody on that very thing; 4)There were other valid reasons for the war besides WMD's. For example, Saddam's human rights record wasn't much better than Hitler's. Same for the Taliban. Imo that alone is enough to justify sending our troops to oust them. Now if only we'd stop kissing up to China's fascist government....5)As much of a prick as W is, he will win re-election, just like another prick by the name of Bill Clinton. The American people are not any less blind than they were in 1996, and they simply will not consider that there are other options besides Repulsnikan and Dumbocrat. -- MM

1. If Bush won Florida honestly, then I'm the quarterback for the Dolphins. (That would explain a few things.) 2. The economy is dragging because the people have lost so much of "their money" thanks to Georgie's crazy harebrained tax scheme. (Alice Kramden for Secretary of the Treasury! I know she's dead, but that didn't stop Bob Dole from being nominated for President.) 3. I didn't even mention the Patriot Act -- at least I have the guts to type it out -- though I do believe the Patriots will win the AFC Title, at least. 4. Saddam's human rights record was about the same as Milosevic's, and Republicans opposed stopping him. Also North Korea, and we're not going after them. And, of course, the one that actually HAS oil and needs a U.S. kick to the fat ass, Saudi Arabia! But they own the Bushes, so that ain't happening. At least we finally have a "conservative" willing to admit that China is a problem, and not even a communist one. 5. You can't be "re-elected" unless you are first "elected." Bush was appointed. And the only reason they won't repeal the 22nd Amendment for him is because they're terrified that Bill -- the better leader, the better father if not husband, and the better human being -- will come back and do his duty.

3)I do not spell out P****** A** because I consider it an obscenity, like the four letter word which probably isn't allowed here because "amiright is triple x-less", as Guy puts it. 1,2,4,5)You have the right to your opinions. I am glad to live in a country where you are free to express them. Happy new year.--MM

How do you translate lowering taxes and giving tax rebates to the statement above?

And about your re-election statement. We can say that he will be re-appointed if it makes you feel better.

America has only its own greed to blame for its failed economy. unhappy with paying their neighbor the same amount they receive, they are happy to settle for foreign low quality junk. heres a verse or 2 for you people that think blaming the Leaders is the Answer.. its YOUR fault. Made in America Only in here in the USA can they sell the cheapest trash everyone else wants the best Americans wont spend the cash If it costs 9 dollars to make the longest lasting shoe we'll pay 5 dollars for a fake that lasts a week or 2 The best in life is never cheap its better to go without then buy a thing that lasts a week and have to throw it out. And so we wail about lost jobs and point to foreign mills but still you buy the junk you slobs and can't afford to pay the bills If you had bought American and paid what it was worth instead of junk from Japan you might have steady work Copyright 2003 Gary Main

Some of the arguments I hear being bandied about by the Dems, regarding George Bush & Iraq strike me as being illogical at best. Why Saddam, then? - Saddam's bravado is near the core of this. He's high profile. Even by Bill Clinton's assessment, he was manufacturing WMDs. For years, Saddam had been thumbing his nose at the backbone-deficient United Nations and their inspectors. Today, sophisticated terrorism networks proliferate, fuelled by various governments around the globe. Rather than attempt to fight the battle on Korean soil, which would risk dragging China into it, Bush made a display of US firepower against Saddam, a less risky target, as a warning to Korea and other powerful governments who are forming alliances with terrorists. It's quite frankly, simplistic to reduce all of this to a "power-hungry" Dubya. As for the"harebrained tax scheme", in America we earn our own money , and the government conducts business on our behalf (hence the term "civil servant"). An historical examination of the U.S. Federal Tax system reveals how out-of-control fedreal taxes, and their various codes have become since 1918.

Look, if you want to argue fraud in Florida, then you have to open the door to consider fraud in other states. There are three in particular which Gore almost certainl won by fraud, and a fourth (Oregon) which he probably won by fraudulent mail-in ballots. It is absolutely certain Bush should have won Wisconsin because the polls stayed open after hours in the Democratic stronghold of Milwaukee while closing on time in the rest of the state. That is a clear violation of equal protection. Gore's total margin in Wisconsin was 5,708 votes, and his margin in Milwaukee County was 88,838 votes. In New Mexico, which Gore "won" by 366 votes out of over 600,000 cast, state officials had to impound the ballots; and in Iowa, it probably was fraud that provided Gore's 4144-vote margin there. In Oregon the polls consistently showed Bush leading Gore by 5 percentage points, but somehow Gore managed to win by 6765 votes out of over 1.5 million. Those states add up to 30 electoral votes, compared to Florida's 25. Even if we grant that Gore's victory in Oregon was legit Bush's victory in Florida wasn't (even though Gore lost every recount), that leaves a 269-269 electoral tie. The Republican-led House would have elected Bush as President, while possibly the Senate would have elected Joe Lieberman Vice President. That would have created an open seat in the Senate which would have been filled by a Republican governor, so Jeffords' defection would not have given the Democrats a majority. That would have been a slightly better scenario for Bush than what actually happened. -- MM

Guy: Al told us Georgie had a risky tax scheme. That tax cut sent the nation from record surplus to record deficit and cost us 3 million jobs. So people have fewer jobs and thus less of "their money." It is obvious that Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't so fuzzy, was he? (Didn't I already do a parody about that one?) And Bush being reappointed will only make Republicans feel better, not the majority of Americans. And "in my dreams," the reforms of President Kennedy -- Bobby -- would've made a run by either Clinton unnecessary. Fraud? Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas were almost certainly won by fraud, but it was so obvious in Florida that that's where the attention was paid.
Michael McVey - January 01, 2004 - Report this comment
The only fraud in Missouri was that, like Milwaukee, the polls stayed open overtime in St. Louis and nowhere else, which, as I said, is a clear violation of equal protection. While that wasn't enough to beat Bush, it WAS enough to elect a dead man over Ashcroft, based on the governor's illegal promise to appoint Sen. Carnahan's widow (who lost 2 years later). Of course, we all know that ultimately came back to bite the Democrats, because Ashcroft now has much more power -- too much, I agree with you about him -- than a mere midwestern Senator. -- MM
Michael McVey - January 01, 2004 - Report this comment
Btw, Bush's margins of victory in those three states were: Arkansas, 50,172; Tennessee, 80,229; and Missouri, 78,786, despite the voters in St. Louis (where Gore won 4 to 1) getting more time to vote than the rest of the state. That's an awful lot of bogus votes to account for. I expressed some doubt about Oregon just because the margin there was over 6000. So again, I don't think the "Gore Losers" have much of a case. But whether bush is elected for the second time or the first this November, I believe the margin will be decisive. I see Dean winning Massachusetts, D.C., Hawaii, Illinois, Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey,. Maryland, Delaware, Michigan, and possibly Louisiana and Pennsylvania. That would give him between 134 and 164 electoral votes, or a half to three-fifths of what he needs to win. -- MM

MP - You're a dude, but your linking of tax relief (Risky? Oh, please, let's just echo the tired slogans of the Dems) and a loss of 3 million jobs (using exactly what measuring stick? Which quarters are we sighting?) is more than a stretch. The two entities aren't even remotely connected. Michael, have you ever been in business at the economics or financial level? Financial trends tend to be cyclical, and the previous cycle had more than an extended lifespan. What is unusual, is that we're seeing evidence of an earlier and more robust recovery than had been anticipated, even given the Bush tax relief program. The record low interest rates provided home buyers with additional spendable income, which should enter the marketplace by this coming spring. With so many people making large purchases (homes) their next priority was to stabilize their household budget - not buy lots of Christmas presents. This is exactly what occurred in the retail sector, and should have been anticipated. Fuzzy math or not, Al Gore can teach you as much about economics as Hilary Clinton can teach you about the New York Yankees.
Michael Pacholek - January 02, 2004 - Report this comment
You're seeing evidence of a robust recovery? Where? Are the jobs coming back? Is consumer confidence up? Did holiday sales rise in relation to last year? If your answers are Yes, then either you haven't seen a paper, or you're beyond hope. And what can Hillary teach me about the Yankees? Well, she WAS a Cub fan, and she left them for the Yankees. Which team won a Pennant? Of course, Hillary can't teach you anything. You know the saying: You can always tell a Republican, but you can't tell him much, even when it's a self-evident truth.

In defense of political parodies on both ends of the political spectrum, politicians do make good material when it comes to acid humor. Plus, I think there's a public perception that they deserve it. Banning political parodies is like banning parodies about Star Trek, or cats or cows, or even sex. You can work around it, but it really limits your material. For that matter, some of the best ratings I've gotten thus far have been for politically-oriented material. -- MM
David Chrenko - January 04, 2004 - Report this comment
The Great Karlando makes a valid point, however, political satire, when done well, can be very funny. It's when it's reduced to name-calling, and finger-pointing that it needs to be brought to account. MP is writing these Bush-Bashing satires to be provocative, and to that end, he succeeds. He's fully expecting to provoke those who read it, and anticipates being challenged on his viewpoint. All I've asked of him is to support his attacks with facts. Personally speaking, I much more enjoy song parodies that find humor in day-to-day situations, rather than the mean-spirited or vulgar ones, regardless of topic-matter.
