Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Although not nearly as obnoxious as the AFLAC Duck or Taco Bell Dog, this guy deserves some attention, too. I took a bit of license and made up a new adjective "computeral", order to make things fit. "Electrical" is pronounced "ee-leck-TRICK-al" as in the original. For additional fun, sing the "hey, lizard" backing vocals in the TB Dog's Mexican accent.
He kept getting our phone calls
Then he made a big fuss
Now we have settled his problem
He's joined forces with us

Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko

Our precent's ninety-seven
Cust'mer rating, you see
Now we are trying our darndest
To please the other three

Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko

Gecko now dances the robot
On our computeral screen
Gecko now dances the robot
It's the coolest thing you have seen

Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko

The Geico Gecko.....[instrumental]

Electrical gas hybrid
Is gonna be the coolest car
Electrical gas hydrid
Is bound to be the greatest by far

Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko (hey, lizard)
Here comes the Geico Gecko

[repeat 1st verse and chorus, partly drowned out by horns]

Your parody sucks, but I've got good news: I just saved... Just kidding. This was really good.

I love that gecko and I love your parody. What really cracked me up was the take off on "Love Story" complete with dreamy scenes on the beach and one of the most irritating songs from the Seventies - "Some Times when We Touch". The girl looked more like Jacqueline Bisset than Ali McGraw. The whole thing was a hoot.

Thanks, guys. Tim - If I'm ever lucky enough to record this, I'll be sure to have you do some sound effects. 2Eagle - Hadn't thought of that particular commercial, until your comment reminded me. Can't complain about any gal who looks like Jackie Bisset.

Well done, Steve. I like the % verse and the way you kept "electrical" in the song without forcing it.

"Quite rightly" one of the funniest parodies today! A 15-minute call to Geico can get you 15 total points on Amiright.com.

Steve: You ever see the episode of "Cheers" where Sam (Ted Danson) is about to lose a bet he made that he'd lose the bar if he didn't marry Jacqueline Bisset? Well, he finds a woman named Jacqueline Bisset, and... hilarity ensues. The airdate was February 14, 1985 (thank you, epguides.com), and it's a little-known fact that the guy who made the bet with Sam was Michael Richards, the future Cosmo Kramer of "Seinfeld." Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You should use this as part of a movie for GEICO's Golden Gecko contest. I think that would be hilarious! www.goldengecko.com
