When still young, just after the Big Bang,
I wondered what I would be?
Would I be luminous, have a high red shift?
‘Stronomers observing me?

Several billion years later,
Accretion around a massive black hole,
Radio waves, light, shining so bright,
‘Stronomers watch and extol.

Quasar, rah! Hurrah! Electromagnetically, so replete with energy,
Quasar, rah! Hurrah! Quasi-stellarly.

Three billion years from now,
Andromeda and the Milky Way,
Will they collide, form a black hole,
‘Stronomers cannot say.

Quasar, rah! Hurrah! Whatever will be, will be.
