The Lyrics

I do love my Yankees, but allowing 14 runs in the second inning against Cleveland was really embarrassing....
Hey hey uh oh ohh ohh ohh nooo
Oh no gone gone gone gone nooo
Not twenty two runs at home, George
The Yanks are looking mighty sad
Now it's just inning two, fourteen runs had just scored
New York fans are mighty mad
But I paid a fortune for some choice seats
I'll watch this torture all the while
And right after seventeen Indians have batted
The score makes the fans revile

But I've got to keep on watchin'
I just can't watch more, Oh no no
I, I, I, I'm so fired
And I have lost all my pride

I've got seven innings still now
And I just swear out Chien-Ming is to be blamed
As though his slider hung open like the front door
I can feel the players pain
Pulling the pitcher is not a maybe
And now we're up in arms
Another inning slips
I have flipped out, because what they charged for this game is a crime

I have to keep on watchin'
This game just drags on, on, on, on
I, I, I, I, I'm so fired
And The Babe has lost some pride
Watch on, let me yell at ya
I, I, I, I, Im, not inspired
Make this run deluge subside

Come on Yanks don't fail us now
We've got more innings to go
They scored more, one, one, four, one, one
They scored eight more runs this blows
Yanks over the hill and buried again
Home has no luck inspired, cover your head and hide
I just wish this whole fiasco would end

Don't want to keep on watchin'..........

Unlike the zillion dollar empty seats at Yankee Stadium, this parody is full of fives. Sorry about that nationally televised debacle, thought I was seeing things! Ming's ERA is approaching 35, youzza!

at least you have a sense of humor about it

14? You sure that wasn't the Browns vs. the Giants in the 2nd Quarter?

Not much I can say about this one having never seen the sport & not knowing the OS but I'll give you an extra 555 for your team - it certainly sounds like they need them. In boxing terms they sound like Tyson in Tokyo. PS the security code is WET which sums up their performance quite well by the sound of it

The Babe is turning over in his grave, as are Maris, Mantle, Kubek, Richardson, DiMaggio (and, by association, Marilyn Monroe). Strange -- we both posted today about the "runs"! Ming's ERA 35, Scotti's ERA 555 (Earned Rounds of Applause).

Thanks, Tom. It's funny, in work today we were talking about how Brian Cashman is spending money on a study based on why all the home runs are flying out of there. I could have completed the study by drawing a large arrow pointing out on a piece of paper, and pointed it at Ming!!!!!!!!!! Oh, well, at least they won today(but it took 14 innings....)
