The Lyrics

If you need help with the "Texts"...go HERE

Special thanks to Red Ant for showing me how to make a "♥"
♥ My Texting

♥ my texting
Short and sweet
Do it J4F
Easy to remain discreet
Works for NE1

♥ my texting
SOT ?
It’s the way to go
Simple letters…so sublime
language YSK

While in HS
Ringtone plays
In my English class
Teacher’s mad but I just say,
“SIUYA”

Then my GF
On a dare
“Pix” her sexy bod
MSNUW
“OMFG !!!”

When her folks go
Out the door
“CU” in a few
Soon…we’re ROTF
LOL too

Champagne in a
Plastic cup
Bodies feeling numb
Then it’s time to WIU
And I’m Q2C

Once her Dad walked-
In and he
SHOUTED out my name
I just stood there sheepishly
HHIS

“FTR…
I submit
I…she did persue”
He called me a “POS”
I said… “S2U”

So my spelling’s
Not the best
WCA ?
Spellcheck takes care of the rest
I prefer my way

♥ my texting
BTW
It’s not so bizarre
Just 12 keys with which to play
Counting # and *

So…I do it everyday
Driving in my car

♥IB♥

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Meriadoc...Have you figured it out yet (Hint: last word must rhyme with "class")

alvin...imagine if The King had lived...it would be great to go see him in Branson

UKV...I've never actually sent a "text" in my life. Let me take a moment to say that, I think I speak for many here when I say we ♥ your comments and we ♥ you too...but not in a creepy way

Agri...I hope it means "best parodies forthcoming"

Stuart...thanks for the link...the security code preceeded my activities here and your parody was a great idea. I'm fascinated by this "text speak".It started when I overheard my youngest daughter (14) saying things to her friends like "OMG" and more recently "less than 3". I see the number of texts she sends per month and I ask "why don't you just call"...she says "texting is easier". I guess the idea has some merit because you don't have to "answer" a text. And the new abbreviated language, which has been suggested my many over many years, may just in fact BE easier.

This song rules and so does texting. Although personally I prefer to IM someone, I enjoyed this song. Text speak is contageus and very entertaining- so is chatroom speak and tv trope speak. But the most entertaining language of all is Yoda speak. On September 22nd it is Talk Like Yoda day you know. Forget talk like Yoda day you won't.

Oh Bold Knight, ~Le Marquis de Texture~ I thank you, (curtsy) Sir; but I doubt that the rest of the ~Knighthoods~ share your opinion, Sir . . . but I do have a history of flirtatiousness: it drove ~CowboyDaveC~ to distraction & nearly put him in Traction!!

This one was a puzzle to figure out... There's a few in there that I'm still lost about, I figured out the "SIUYA" line which made me happy, but reading it straight out I was confused about a lot of them. This could work as a recording, especially since Elvis is kinda slow and it will allow the listeners to actually think about what those letters mean.

(ABC4#)

I work for the a major government and they have way too many acronyms and since I don't text I can now feel for the "poor" new guy that knows nothing about "Gov Speak" and is constantly having that "deer in the headlights" look about him whenever business is discussed with him. I can relate to the texting phenomenon in this regard. Believe it or not we used a form of texting as early as the early 1980's on mainframe computers. I can remember some female US Navy enlisted seamen always signing off with "See You Next Time" - use your imagination on how they put that into a text form. And LOLOLOLOLOLOLO which resemlbles LOL was a way of saying hello a bunch of times trying to get someones attention on a teletype machine. Texting culture is nothing new. It's been around a long time, just in a different form. Love your idea.

If you would induge and excuse me for a plug see the opposite of this by viewing one of my older parodies at:

(ABC) well as I said, that's fresh and clever and succinct, IB, and working out what the abbreviations all mean actually seemed to add to the humour, as well as giving an inner glow of accomplishment - I liked the "MSNUW “OMFG !!!” " but that was just one of many sublime touches
