Parody Song Title:

"High Pilots"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Disturbing recent events of drunken pilots
His senses deploy, his eyes scan the skies
The smell of dumb reeks, at our nations airlines
He's there to fly them, safe as he can
Juice makes him feel vaunted, he's a drunk phoney man

High pilots, high pilots
How can you fly high
You'll never, never, never, reason why

His eyes say he's hung over, to him he's all right
He blows off the fears, of the forthcoming flight
Booze loving stud, he's ready to fly
Mothers and fathers don't know they could die

High pilots, high pilots
How can you fly high
You'll never, never, never, reason why

He mumbles a prayer, like an innocent child
The ok is given, to run down the line
But he'll still fly blind, and he'll concentrate
But it won't stop his needing, of drinks he takes

As the drunk man flies out, into the great unknown
He feels good, his fraud may never be shown
He feels so wired, and it plays on his head
Hopes to end his mind flurries, with his daydreams instead

High pilots, high pilots
How can you fly high
You'll never, never, never, reason why
You'll never, never, never, reason why
You'll never, never, never, reason why
You'll never, never, never, reason why
You'll never, never, never, reason why

I'm afraid most of our younger viewers are blissfully unaware of the OS, Randy and what a world historic POS it really was. To them I say: So that you may fully appreciate the parody, google up "Sky Pilot, Eric Burdon (Long Version)" It will be worth it -- if only to be exposed to one of the s&*tt*est songs in rock and roll history

I always thought "Sky Pilot" was one of the great songs of its era. See my version "Clone Soldiers". Of course, I'm a sucker for anything with bagpipes. Nice transfer of the concept of Sky Pilot (military chaplain) to airline pilots.

Funny in a very black way, given the number of impaired pilots in the news the last year. I'm glad I'm not flying anywhere soon, I'd never get this parody out of my head.

Young passenger so scared looks at the High Pilot ... Remembers the words, "Thou Shall Not Drink." That's how I might have ended a parody of this OS

I like the transposition of "How high can you fly" to "How can you fly high". "He'll still fly blind and he'll concentrate" are a nice match to the original lyrics.
