Parody Song Title:

"Wake Up With An Uzi"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

wake up with an Uzi, wake up
wake up with an Uzi, wake up
it's hard to get some sleep,
these baghdad folk are creeps
the curfew's on and it's four o'clock
and we are dug in deep,

wake up with an Uzi,
wake up with an Uzi
what are you gonna tell the colonel,
what are we gonna tell the sarge?
whatare we gonna tell the press
when they say "gone too far"?
wake up with an Uzi
wake up with an Uzi,

well I told my mama that I would kill some men
I got them baby, my ammo's all been spent
wake up with an Uzi
wake up with an Uzi,
I wanna go home

wake up with an Uzi
wake up with an Uzi,
the R.P.G they shot,
blew up near my cot
I fired back, at all Iraq,
I'm givin all I got,
wake up with an Uzi
wake up with an Uzi,

well, what are you gonna tell the colonel,
what are we gonna tell the sarge?
what are we gonna tell the press
when they say "gone too far"?
wake up with an Uzi
wake up with an Uzi,

Good one, Malcolm--I know you're versatile, but I kinda miss the bodily humor parodies--just sprinkled in here and there

"I wanna go home"? So you admit we don't belong there?
malcolm higgins - August 20, 2003 - Report this comment
geez Michael, it's A PARODY who wants to be there??? I think we NEED to be there.. it was written on thebacks of the poor men and women who chose to serve, and were unlucky enough to be rotated there

Michael can't stand to miss an opportunity to slam somebody else's politics. Kind of a political penis envy thing.

I swore that I was going to keep my keyboard quiet around this guy but I have to speak up on this one.

I am a USAF veteran who spent more than a few years keeping democracy safe so people like 'our friend' here could speak their mind. But I thought the hostility toward the troops ended with the Vietnam war. I can remember being spat upon in SF international by anti war hippies because I happened to be wearing a uniform. And I didn't even have a choice about the military since the draft was in effect. Oh, I guess I did have one choice, I could have run off to Canada.

I write this comment in support of my comrads in arms who are dodging ordnance and can't be here to respond.

as you can see, Guy, this is PRO TROOP I think the only heroes we have right now are in uniforms fighting to maintain our right to be free. god bless 'em.. the people who say sports and celebs are "their hero" are idiots.. congrats Guy for serving, and THANK YOU

Michael, I didn't want the song toend up with people slamming you.. some have.. I like your comments, and read them... we differ.. so what?? btw.. notice when the left slams the right, there are precious few comments, but when we on Gordie howe's side slam the left, the comment board lights up?? sort of the same on the national front.. the quiet right sits and observes while the frantic left screams like chicken little every step of the way...lol Bok! Bok! Bok Bok Bok! anyway.. off for holidays asm of 1pm today for a week.. have fun all you guys ( and mean ALL OF YOU!!!!) for those of you who care, find a map on Ontario, go way north to a place called NAKINA on any map, there is a lake just north called ESNAGAMI... one of the most prized northern pike fisheries in this hemisphere.. gone till Sept 30 somebody do a fishing parody or two will ya?? c. ya Chucky thanks again for putting up with me t.t.y.l

Have a good vacation Malk, and enjoy...... Thanks for supporting our troops all! Keep those flags a flying , and the yellow ribbons too!

Malcolm - I guess I wasn't real clear. It was really late when I made this comment. This comment was not directed against you. I can tell a pro troop message when I see one. Other comments on this thread tended to be anti military and that was what I was addressing. Sorry about the confusion.
Robert J. Pagliaro - August 22, 2003 - Report this comment
Ah, and that's why this works - one can sense the dichotomy. But Malcolm, I think Michael's comment was actually acknowledging a well-down piece. Guy, sorry about the incident - anti-war protesters shouldn't be anti-troop and shouldn't direct their demonstrations at the troops.
Guy DiRIto - August 23, 2003 - Report this comment
Exactly - I was totally against the Vietnam war, as was most people that were my age in the military at that time, but all they saw was the uniform.

Tommy put me on to this song. He may not believe in it, but just maybe you can read my comment from somewhere on high. Great song.
