The Lyrics

I am enjoying TT and FG's series of blatant product plug parodies immensely! When a company chooses the spokesperson for a specific product, great care must be used. A good match would be Jeff Gordon for anything automotive. Britney Spears for baby care products would not be so good! ;D

Turtle and Fiddlegirl are plugging
Products on amiright with clout.
It's just a great routine for they have
Not sold out!
This gets my twisted mind a-thinking
Some spokesman/product pairs won't do!
Sometimes you shouldn't match the
What with who!

Good match, bad match,
Good group, bad batch,
Right guy with right goods!
Bill Cosby was a fit for Jell-O,
No Trojan ads for Tiger Woods.

Right gal, wrong guy,
Get it or die!
Peyton Manning's best.
Shatner is very good for Priceline,
Not Carrot Top for Beauty Rest.

Rush Limbaugh shouldn't plug Weight Watchers.
Michael Vick? Never for Alpo!
Snoop Dog should stay away from Hallmark,
Says wrong "Ho"!
Jordan's great for Nike and Wheaties,
Amy Winehouse would be a wreck.
No spots for "Progessive" that
Star Glen Beck!

Good match, bad match,
There is a catch.
Cavemen? Lizards? Fine!
Favre's indecision is amusing,
No so to hear old T.O. whine.

Good call, bad shot,
Coulter should not
Laud A.C.L.U.
Federer is Gillette's top pitchman..

(Slowly)

O.J. should not endorse
Ginsu!

That said, one commercial I always wanted to see would be (alleged) spitball pitcher Gaylord Perry...for Wet Ones! ;D

I enjoy Turtle and Fiddle no matter what they do. Also, Brangelina shouldn't be endorsing Planned Parenthood, but Tom Hanks should endorse Detrol. Remember Forrest Gump?

Fave: "Progressive/Beck" -- because it plays on the insurance co's name that has nothing whatsoever to do with its political meaning, so it's funny regardless of one's opinion of Beck - "pro" or "con", so to speak.

Agree with Fg re: closing, but remember: With OJ, if you buy the Simpson murder, we'll throw in the Goldman murder for free! But hurry! Drive slow!

76 trombones + 479 other instruments in the parade = 555. +++ @ 2Eagle: Thank you. That was very kind,. :)
