The Lyrics

Having become equal partners at last, after the long, often-painful struggle described in "My Fair Fiddlegirl", FG, TT, and all of AIR take a nostalgic look back, recalling those early days and said struggle, and reflecting on how so much has changed so quickly. While it seemed like forever at the time, now it seems like only yesterday.
TEYVE TURTLE:

Is this the Fiddlegirl I harried?
Was this the kid: annoy, each day?

FIDDLEGOLDE:

I still remember how we'd smolder
Pen, kid, play!

TT:

When first we met, she was a newbie
Penned lines: abominations all

FG:

What would Professor say to
Brain ... so ... small?

AIR-MEN, those in all other branches of service besides the US Air Force, and all other men:

Pun, wise? None, get
Pun tries; "1', get
FG: slow to phrase
Al-'iens beam overnight till sun's hours
Awesome lines, weaving via rays [1]

AIR-WOMEN: [see above]

Pun spies, pun sets,
Sunrise, Tom gets
Nifty new ideas
One stanza, Fiddle adds another
Matin’ with rapid quips and leers.

TT:

What words of wisdom wouldst wack give her?
How can she learn TT's wordplay?

FG:

"Eliza Dofiddle"? Oh, brother!
Goy: "Oy, vay!"

PATRICK:

They look so snatch-her-altogether

NorHoCal: [2]

Just like unruly heads would be

PATRICK and NorHoCal:

Is there a manatee ador-...-ing ... me? [3]

FIDDLEGOLDE AND TEYVE TURTLE:

Fun, guys? Ton, sweat
Sometimes: shun, get
Lift, we: dry your tears
Some: pleasin'; pi**ing off some others
Gradin'? Some snappy lines; some jeers

[1] Many of TT's ideas aren't "thought of"; they literally "strike" (as in "a thought just struck me") -- often, just before going to sleep or immediately upon awakening. Sometimes, during the middle of the night, whereupon turtle scratches it down with pen and paper kept by bed for such moments. Anyone else have any of this happen? .... didn't think so.

Anyway, hence the running metaphor about the aliens beaming the ideas into the pea-brain. (Some have suspected that TT himself is a rather strange visitor from another planet, but it's not true, and he has a forged birth certificate to prove it.)

Geek-Note: (skippable -- aren't they all?) The scientist who finally figured out the molecular structure of the chemical, benzene, struggled for a long time with the question, but the answer finally came to him in the form of a dream, when he drifted off into a nap during his arduous studies. For once, TT will spare everyone the details.

[2] NorCalHo: Sorry for the name tweak. OS character's name is Hodel, and combing the AIR-waves, that's as close as we could get to it. (Patrick was perfect for "Perchick". Truly, a match made in heaven.)

[3] "manatee" -- Like the turtle, an aquatic, air-breathing inhabitant of warm US waters, but unlike turtles, manatees are mammals. Sometimes thought to be the inspiration for mermaids. If you're a male sailor (or sale mailer, for you spammers) who's been at sea for months, never seeing a woman, you start imagining things ... just as French explorers, out in the wilderness for many months, who discovered huge, pointy-topped peaks in Wyoming, USA, called them the Grand Tetons. ("Large Breasts") ..... (True -- isn't parody educational?)

Thanks for working me into your song. Or is this a case of "I'm so vain, I think you wrote this song about me"?

Glad to see you've moved your musical acting careers to a new play - 555

TT, FG, I see that some reptilian brain gave you 1s. Here are some 5s to compensate.

Patrick: Nope, you're it, Dude. :-) Per footnote, best possible match to OS character Perchick. (thanks for loyal readership at MFL, too!) .. Thanks for v/c!

Timmy1000: I think we've both had our fill of the last one :), fun though it was. Thanks for v/c.

John Barry: Well, we nailed them in our other post today -- which I would assume is why they came here, to prove that the other song today was right on target. (If the shoe fits, wear it.) Thanks for v/c, but... uh.... *some* reptilian brains aren't all that bad, maybe? :-)

Your brain is squirmin' like a toad. And that's a good thing, judging by this ingenious nonsense.

Sunrise, struck yet? Strike three fives.

Johnny D: Never look a gift comment in the mouth -- appreciate it - but, uh, it's a lot less nonsensical if one had read the parody linked in the intro. Sort of a recap of that story. Thanks for v/c!

blackjack21: LOL! ... good ones. :) Thanks for v/c.

Echoing TT's comments to Patrick, Timmy1000, JB, Johnny D, and BJ21 (Now why couldn't *I* have thought of that?) ;)

Appreciate you all!

Great addition to your expanding opus-poke'us with truly excellent tit-for-turt wordplay--FG n' TT 4-EvR!...

TJC: I think your comment was funnier than the parody (as usual)! "tit-for-turt" ROFL (and in my dreams!) Thanks, O Neologomeister!

Christie Marie M: Thank you! Thank you! Always glad to know that we've lived up to such a loyal reader!
