The Lyrics

DANGERS IN THE NIGHT

Dangers in the night,
That’s what I call men.
Often I take fright,
And that’s not all, when-
Ever they’re in sight, I know it’s time to run.

If I stopped to fight,
They’d leave me crying.
And you know they might
Just leave me sighing,
Turn off every light, and then have lots of fun.

Dangers in the night,
To all and sundry
These men make love every night…
Except on Sunday when we say a little prayer,
Wondering if they care,
Knowing that one little error could result in holy terror.

Ever since one night
I’ve been expecting.
What a sorry plight,
I’m now suspecting
Things did not go right with dangers in the night!

(Instrumental)

Knowing that one little error could result in holy terror.

Ever since one night
What a sorry plight,
I’m now suspecting
Things did not go right with dangers in the night!

Doo be doo be doo….dah dah dah dah dah …

Sounds like you've had a bad experience. Could the phrase "holy terror" refer to a specific male vocation whose practitioners have wronged you? This tune seems to be the tip of a much deeper iceberg.
