Song Parodies -> "Scooby Dooby Doo"

Original Song Title:

"Strangers in the Night "

Original Performer:

Frank Sinatra

Parody Song Title:

"Scooby Dooby Doo"

Parody Written by:

Van S A'Parody

The Lyrics

Sinatra's ad-lib/closing scat on this original song, famously inspired the name of a now, much more famous animated dog
Where are you tonight? Investigating
Who gave you the fright
That got you shakin', un-mask the fiend who
Runs the amusement park

Something juvenile: Velma or Daphne?
Something about Fred: is he or ain't he?
Something of the night
Frightens me less than he

Where are you tonight?
Investigating all that goes bump in the night
Until the moment
When you apprehend your foe
Accident'ly so
Comedy of horrors-farce
How Shaggy brings 'em to their knees, the...

Mystery Machine - our passion, wagon's
on an eerie case, sets your tail waggin'
It'll turn out right
For meddling kids tonight

Comedy of horrors-farce
How Shaggy brings 'em to their knees

Mystery Machine - our passion, wagon's
on an eerie case, sets your tail waggin'
It'll turn out right
Oh, where are you tonight?

Scooby-Dooby-Doo
...bee-doo-bee-doo-bee
Scooby-Dooby-Doo (yeah, yeah, yeah)

(...bee - doo-bee-doo-bee-doo-ahh
Scooby-Dooby-Doo-bee)
Van S A'Parody (20.11.23) (Disclaimer:- Van S A'Parody is only a comedy name - my wife & I'd like to state, there's no offence/confusion intended...that I'm NOT one of "them"!) Since 2018, the UK music buying public have made their Xmas #1 a 5th consecutive parody (now a record, surpassing the Beatles). Often, a new artist can announce their arrival with a particularly good cover, made uniquely their own. I'm no singer nor musician, so if you can perform this (or any of mine), please send me a version & lots of royalties!

Reminds me of the great film Play Misty for Me. The Producers wanted Clint to use Strangers in the Night which they owned, and suggested the title "Play Scooby Dooby Doo for Me" ;-p But he held out for Misty and paid $25K for the rights.

I did a parody once called "Breaking Up Is Hard on Scoob" about the tragic break up of the friendship between Scooby and Shaggy .. with the stanzas rendered in Scooby-speak

And I agree with Scooby; this is pretty clever
