The Lyrics

Do you realize that if Al Gore had won in 2000, today Cindy Sheehan's son might be alive... and might also be the man who killed Osama bin Laden? Wait, Gore did win: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/19/opinion/19krugman.html?n=Top%2fOpinion%2fEditorials%20and%20Op%2dEd%2fOp%2dEd%2fColumnists%2fPaul%20Krugman
Why all my loosin' sleep over it?
We lost some precious moments from it.
So many days have gone by.
Still I'm so angry and I
guess there's just no getting over it.
And I'm still having a fit.
Wastin' eight long years of our lives all because of it.

Within the prison land we've become
a leader always proven so dumb.
And tho' it hurts I'll get by.
You say I'd better, yet I
guess there's just no getting over it.
And I'm still having a fit.
Wastin' eight long years of our lives all because of it.

And I guess there's just no getting over it!
And I'm still having a fit!
Wastin' eight long years of our lives all because of it!

I'll get over it... as soon as we have a rightfully elected President. Remember, since the first term ain't legit, the second term we won't acquit.

The good news: AFW, Alvin and Johnny liked it. Thank you, gentlemen. If you don't mind me calling you that. The bad news: I gave Johnny an idea. Always a risky proposition.

It is obvious to any mature, intelligent person that George W. Bush won in 2000. It is also obvious that he is one of the top five presidents in the nation's history. It is also obvious that Al "Gorey Al" Gore would have been one of the worst five presidents in history. The parodist -- like foul-mouthed Mrs. Sheehan -- is clearly immature and/or a lacking in intelligence -- or fuels his ignorance by paying attention to the ultra-liberal media and/or the Frankens/Sterns/Moores of the world. God bless the heroic Casey Sheehan, who is spinning in his grave at embarrassment over what his mother is doing.

It is obvious to any person capable of reading that nothing is obvious to Lurker. The top five Presidents in the nation's history -- in chronological order -- are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and Jack Kennedy. The five worst -- also chronologically -- are Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Warren Harding, Richard Nixon and George W. Bush, who recently passed both his father and Ronald Reagan. As for Casey Sheehan, you don't have a clue (which makes you, at the absolute minimum, consistent) as to how he would have felt, while his mother just might. But, if you want to believe that 10,000 elderly Jews in Palm Beach really voted for Pat Buchanan, and that 50,000 black men in Florida who weren't actually felons were deservedly denied the right to vote, then go ahead and believe that Vacation Boy Bush was rightfully elected. One more thing: No Bush-Cheney supporter has the right to call anyone else "foul-mouthed." Ask Adam Clymer and Pat Leahy.
