The Lyrics

An entirely fictional tale that some readers might regard as a documentary..
Augustdrivin'
Cross-country for three days is enough to drive you insane
We've stopped for ice creampee breaks
But all these little spawns of the devil do is complain

That's why I'm fumingChevy, four kids and an ulcer
It's loomingif they don't shut up I'll freak
Zack's beating up on Renee
Tom's car-sick; he's gonna spray

And now the air con'sbroken
As I find out my wife's been reading the map upside down
And Tom's just thrown upmilkshake
Over the bub as we pull into the next redneck town

I must be crazyChevy, four kids and an ulcer
And Jay-Zis all I'm allowed to play
We stopped at a cheap motel
Looked like Faust's version of hell
Wife said”oh well"

Well, I was tiring Chevy, four kids and an ulcer
Retiringto bed's what I wanna do
A jukebox started to play
And night time turned into day

With drunken cowboyswhooping
Boning their girlfriends right underneath my window..”Oooh Merle!”
Another twentyhours
Until we reach Orlando and Disney-F-reakin'-world

I feel like boozing Chevy, four kids and an ulcer
I'm losingpatience, my temper and hair
A blue light in my rear view; and up struts Officer “Lou”
“Get out, will yew?”
Now I just wanna wanna wanna.go home, my friend.

yeah, drunken redneck cowboys DO always seem to end up bonking Merles - why is that? - already funny from the title, Kristof - your stuff hits bulls-eye again - there was a bit of Chevy Chase in this one too, for good measure - LOL - 555

Thanks AFW, Al and Disco Stu....the "Chevy" was as in Chevrolet, but as the parody steals from the Vacation movies, Mr Chase is subliminally implied...cheers!

Kristof, there IS actually a Disco Stu who posts on amiright who is NOT my good self - I'd hate you to be thanking him by accident -

(naaah, you're welcome)

If I ever do a sequel to "The Reckoning of These Song Titles," this one will have to be seriously considered. And it loses no steam once the text begins. Five City: Are we there yet? Yes, we are!
