The Lyrics

This song is a booby trap! There is very little rhyme organization and little enough rhyme. As for content, there must be a distinction here. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow merely robbed banks. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are all about taking over banks. ;D

Nancy and Reid were darlings of the left wing.
They made the media sing. They were the press's heroes.
Nancy and Reid became speaker and leader
And major Bush defeaters in two-thousand-six.
They jumped right in, and started causing a fuss,
Led the Congress in a great crusade
To throw Georgie under the bus.

Nancy and Reid played their part in the drama
And helped elect Obama in the vote of oh-eight.
O. was just there to give a lot of speeches
While they'd extend the reaches of the welfare state.
The President would tell folks what he would do,
And then it would be Nancy and Reid's job
Would make sure that his dreams would come true.

O. only knew how they did things in Chicago politics,
Get it through intimidation, defrauding, and dirty tricks.

They bullied friends in their caucus
"Just vote the line or you're through!"
But voters soon said "Don't mock us.
Change and Hope's what we asked for,
Big government socialism is not what we want from you!".

(Instrumental break with sound effects)

Tea Party groups sprang up across the nation
Expressing consternation, but they both wouldn't hear.
They tried to force Obama's sacred wish list,
And though the voters were p*ssed, what had they to fear?

(Sound effects: Tea Party rallies and election returns from Massachusetts. Then, slowly and mournfully...)

Nancy and Reid, each thought they were a smarty,
And so they led their party out of power.

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen, "I knew Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty...and you two are no Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty!" ;D

The difference is that B&C *broke* the law, but P&R *are* the law -- scary. Who will protect us from them?... 555. (and LOL @ JB's comment!)
