Song Parodies -> "The NSA Lineman"

Original Song Title:

"The Witchita Lineman"

Original Performer:

Glen Campbell

Parody Song Title:

"The NSA Lineman"

Parody Written by:

Don Milne

The Lyrics

I am a lineman for the country
Are you on my main list?
Searchin' through the phone for another terrorist

I hear you talking in the wire
I can hear you through the whine
And the NSA Lineman is still on the line

I may just need a new vocation
I've tapped Merkel and the French
'Cause of Snowden
The poor White House
Won't ever stand the stench

And I hear you more than fear you
And I've bugged you for all time
And the NSA Lineman is still on the line

And I hear you more than fear you
And I've bugged you all the time
And the NSA Lineman is still on the line

Nicely paced. If the feds weren't afraid of us, why would they be listening? When you have to listen to everyone, you are bound to miss the real terrorists. And they speak languages the feds don't know, send coded messages, or use couriers. Someday, though, genealogists will have a much easier time looking us up, than we have searching for our grandparents and great-grandparents.
