The Lyrics

The other night our local old movie channel reran "Von Richthofen and Brown" while playing commercials for a new movie release. The tune came pretty quickly after that. I believe this marks my 100th song on this site.
Fokkers, meet the Fokkers
They are aeroplanes from World War One
In the skies of Europe
They would blast you with a Spandau gun

Baron, flew a triplane painted red
Til a British bullet shot him dead

Want to meet a Fokker?
The only place where you might see 'em
Is a museum
Where they display old times
I'll leave it to the reader to decide whether he believes the Red Baron was shot down by Roy Brown or killed by an Australian machinegunner firing from the ground.

I thought this was going to be about the film 'Meet The Fockers'. But I remembered hearing about Fokker-Wolf planes.

I'd like to have been on the set of the "Fockers" movies. If I had $5 for each time a cast or crew member mispronounced the name, I bet I'd be a rich man today.

Patrick - This is worthy of a Blue Max and more fun that a Flying Circus! It just goes to prove what a synchronized gun can do. Three 5s...one case where being an "ace" is not good! ;D
