The Lyrics

This is just a little ditty I wrote about my science professor at NEIU and wht it took to pass the course
One day's registration I happened to stray
To the Campus Northeastern, I straight took my way
To study for science and work by the day
For a teacher called Marijo Readey
I asked her how far 'til the final exam
To study 'til dark and the info to cram
I was hungry and tired and I felt like a clam
For I've got tiredness and the hunger

The science professor she helped me to see
That I must understand my exam in great speed
I read all my notes 'til my poor eyes did bleed
And I stopped when my old self was weary
When we came to her office, I entered it first
It seemed like a kennel or ruined old church
Says I to myself I am left in the lurch
In the office of Marijo Readey

I well recollect it was raining that night
To a might good tutor she did me invite
A copy of questions on paper so white
And it gave me anxiety disorder
I missed watching TV at home with the cats
In the office I sat in, she showed me some stats
The test really frightened me I'll tell you that
For my class notes were all out of order.

I studied all day and I studied all night
When I turned on the desk lamp to give me some light
I wish that this final would die of the blight
Or myself would go off with then fairies
'Twas on my professor I looked with a frown
When the test was brought in and it made me break down
I wish that I never took class in this town
'Neath the sky over Marijo Readey

I studied at dinner, I studied at work
I studied on Sunday and read like a jerk
At snack time, at bedtime and during homework
But I wasn't feeling so cheery
I read on pollution, the element chart
On ozone depletion, how fission bombs start
Such feelings so anxious I felt in my heart
To get good grades from Marijo Readey

Marijo Readey - July 21, 2006 - Report this comment
Great parody! I enjoyed it immensely. The question is, will I see you in class again? Hope you got more out of it than the song,-- but the song stands on its own! Dr. R.
