Parody Song Title:

"Are You Homeless?"

Parody Written by:

J. F. Kinyon

The Lyrics

As performed by the Jimi Homeless Experience (of course):
If you can just get your sh*t together
then cross the street to me.

Well make signs and then we'll hold them high
for the whole world to see.

But first, are you homeless?
Have you ever been homeless?
well, I am...

I know, I know, you'll probably want to die
cuz the whole world has let you down.

But who in your screwed up world
are you trying to impress with your,

"I'm much too old and-uh, can't be bold"

So-uh, are you homeless?
Have you ever been homeless?
well, I am...

Come, let me prove it to you.

(guitar solo)

Punk kids and violence, I can see in the shadows
I hear they're lookin' to maim.

Maybe now you can't feel them
but you will, when they just,

set your blanket aflame.

Ohhh, but are you homeless?
Have you ever been homeless?

Not necessarily low, but desperate.

Not necessarily tasteful, but interesting. 444

Neat view of the scene, but...EXPERIENCED 4 SYLABLES, HOMELESS 2 SYLABLES. Doesn't scan, man. Maybe you might have made it "Are you homelessified?" Or something.... 255

I've actually recorded this song using "homeless"... it goes "ho-ome-le-ess". Singers can make 4 syllables out of 1 pretty easy.

er... I meant 4 out of 2 of course.

Oh. OK. The reader is of course at a disadvantage if such stylistic nuances are not indicated. You can also stick in "ah" or "uh" sounds anywhere for extra beats, in this case, "a home uh less."
