Parody Song Title:

"You've Been Crucified"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

you've been crucified
that'll leave a scar
romans were defied
guess you went too far
arms were spread wide
a spear in your side
you've been crucified
those asses

you were wearing a loin cloth
crown of thorns on top
sure, its hard, but
you were sent by pop
after you've died
to heaven, you'll glide
you've been crucified
those asses

entombing tonight
entombing tonight
for three days you'll be out of sight
appearing in a brand new light

you've been crucified
a martyr's what you are
you'll be known world-wide
quite the superstar
its been quite a ride
but taken in stride
you've been crucified
those asses

its cruel and unkind
its cruel and unkind
its quite a task you were assigned
you did it for love of mankind

oh..oh..oh..oh..oh...oh...oh

you've been crucified
oh, what's this maiming for ?
so easter'll be a holiday
now and forevermore
salvation for all the masses
at least, christian lads and lasses

Sir Alvin, this does 'swerve' ! i like it, especially the final line . . . the lads & lasses: very Celtic end.

Particularly like 'entombing tonight' :-) And don't worry about Hades Hotel - you got the proper message in there nicely. :-)

Alvin, your room at the Hades Hotel will be next to mine. I once performed a tune called "Jesus the Saviour Man" to the tune of "Popeye the Sailor Man". There is too long a story behind it to go into here.
