The Lyrics

I was sitting at my desk with “The Joy of Lex” composing palindromes;
When along came a thought, where sometimes seems nobody’s home:
If you’re gonna write some wordplay, go with what you understand
Cause you start off every morning, Jumble puzzle in your hand
There’s no doubt that I can go both ways in handling anagrams,
But first I’d need return a message, I was told that a ‘Sam’ rang.

CHORUS:
I’ve used anagrams, Sam
Helps to snag a ram, man
Told my Ma, “Gas! Ran!”, Sam
Ram sang a NASA-gram, Sam
Sing and have some fun, man?
Wordplay 201.

(Anagrams of the word P-A-L-I-N-D-R-O-M-E-S, place-names with 2-letter postal abbreviations)

Thanks Jonathan; As you know, these songs become earwormy while you're working on them. So, the version on my blog (updatable) now has another verse and tighter pacing, with a total of 90 singable anagrams of "palindromes". Can you suggest any other towns?

A senior parodist named Spicy Meatball directed me to pester you; something about 'thread', he said. So here goes...... We sew. / Tinker; re-knit. / No 'yarn' in rayon. / No 'darn' in radon. / No lynxes' sex - nylon. / No 'r' cad sees dacron. / Part-farce - craft-rap. / You might also search my name on the Web for further enlightenment.
