Thank you for the great feedback! This one came like a bolt out of the blue and wrote itself yesterday in a few minutes, and man, it sure wrote itself well! Of course, it wrote itself even better a within minutes of my posting it here. D'oh. I changed the end of the chorus to "You're living in a bunker, and it's making you insane" ("it's made you WAY insane" the final time) to better match the original and to keep it generic and usable for when Cheney starts promoting his next war after Iran. I also gave Indiana the boot in favor of Halliburton. It's all at my the_nag link shown above. Now if I could just find a place to post the mp3's I've started making... and a way to recover the MAGIX arrangement of "Secret Cheney Man" that I recorded late last night but lost to PC overload. Do you have any idea how long it took me to nail the guitar intro and then sync it to the computer drums, all at 160 beats/minute? Double D'oh. On the bright side, I just made a killer, keeper mp3 of "Cheney's Ring of Fire", Johnny Cash meets Harry Whittington. Two-and-half megs in size if anyone is interested, my email address is at my the_nag at Live Journal. It's amazing what a little musical talent and a lot of computer can produce these days.
