The Lyrics

I've always wanted to have a crack at this classic, following on from Malcolm and Phil's gems
Herpes and TB and mild scoliosis
E. Coli rampant and bad halitosis
Severe diarrhoea that is burning your ring
These are my favourite medical things

Arteriosclerosis, lungs deflating
Fractures you get from obsessed masturbating
Watching life-saving machines going "ping"
These are my favourite medical things

Amputees dancing on legs made of plastic
Full hip replacements I think are fantastic
Switchblade vasectomies probably sting
These are my favourite medical things

Watching boils burst
Infectious things
These are what make me glad
I pull out my medical dictionary
And find out why they feel bad

Moaners and groaners, and whiney complainers
Cleaning impacted poo out of your anus
Oh, septicaemia's making me sing
Boy I love all of these medical things

Broken bones, warts, and all manner of rashes
Richard Gere gerbils and Bill Joel crashes
Courtney Love turned up not wearing a thing
I took a hike when she started to sing

Skiers in traction and overdose cases
Footballers with bottles smashed in their faces
Richard Geres rodent's still tied up with string
I'm being paid not to say anything!

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
Please don't waste my time
You're simply not one of my favourite things
I've just got this song to rhyme!!!!

"Diarrhoea"? What's that, a hooker's gonhorrea? Or are you just from a more "colourful" place?

545--lose 1 point for two lines about Richard Gere.
Phil Alexander - May 04, 2004 - Report this comment
Maybe if there were three mentions of Richard Gere I'd have dropped a point... but at least he can spell "diarrhoea" :-) (if you're wondering why I mention that, check here http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/mamasandpapas0.shtml)

Thanks Phil- your enlightened words have just explained to me what Michael P was on about; I didn't even know Americans spelt it without an 'O'.

So much fuss about one little translation mistake. All your parodies are belong to us now... The second half was a bit stronger in terms of rhyme scheme. Quite good overall
